Bad breath will give bad impression towards you. Often people are thinkin, it is very important to keep brushing your teeth as many times as possible. Yes, the practice is true, but there are many more practices that they forgot to do, which is critical in keeping your breath acceptable to all.

Keep your tongue clean.

People often think that the odor is usually caused by decaying food particles and bacteria in their mouth, but they seldom notice that tongue is also a part on which contribute this odor. So it is very important to gently brush your tongue on top of normal brush and floss your teeth, so that we can get rid of even more bacteria. Quoting an expert view on tongue, “A clean tongue goes a long way to warding off bad breath. Your tongue microscopically is like a shaggy carpet. There are millions of filaments on your tongue that trap tiny food particles and bacteria.” Try to make it a habit of regularly cleaning your tongue using a toothbrush, the edge of a spoon, or a tongue cleaner. If you have any mouth guards or oral devices, make sure to clean them thoroughly before putting them back in your mouth.

That’s why dry mouth, often caused by certain medications medical conditions, leads to odor problems. By washing away food particles and bacteria, saliva helps to eliminate odor, too. An expert with his opinion, “When you chew gum it makes you salivate and the more saliva you have in your mouth the fewer bacteria you have. It not only mechanically washes bacteria out, but we have antiseptic and enzymes in our saliva that kill bacteria.”

Drink more water.

One seldom knows that by drinking a lot water do contribute into a better breath. Water can help keep the bacteria in your mouth to a minimum. Drinking water has a lot of health benefits, and preventing bad breath is one of them.

Brushing alone will not clean you mouth? Sounds familiar? You can’t really clean your entire mouth with a toothbrush. Try water pick, which can clean everything out around and under your gums and between your teeth

See your dentist if a nasty odor takes place in your mouth. Not only due to normal cause, but it can be a larger problem, including infection, and even kidney or liver failure, you should also visit a doctor if your dentist doesn’t find a cause for your bad breath problem.
